The U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation in Lakewood, CO, seeks a Technical Writer-Editor to join the Economics, Planning, and Technical Communications Group.

You will collaborate with authors from the outset to plan and develop documents and ensure they meet policy and audience needs. You will interview subject matter experts, research data, draft and edit materials for NEPA, and coordinate reviews with study managers and project coordinators.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship or National status required.
• Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
• Selective Service registration for males born after 12-31-1959.
• Ability to pass E-Verify employment verification.
• Must meet probationary/trial period conditions and performance standards.

Responsabilités

• Plan and develop documents with authors from outset.
• Interview subject matter experts and perform literature searches.
• Rewrite material to improve clarity and ensure compliance with policies.
• Prepare balanced treatments of controversial matters.
• Edit documents for clarity, consistency, and regulatory alignment.
• Lead or participate in interdisciplinary teams and manage reviews.
• Coordinate writing/editing with team leaders and project coordinators.
• Advise on progress, scheduling, and issue resolution.
