Job summary

Schellman Compliance, LLC is seeking a Technical Lead for Sustainability to advance data-driven assurance across GHG, water, waste, and supply chain metrics. You will work directly with client data lakes, design ETL, and build analytics that support credible reporting.

This role blends governance, IT audit, and data engineering, requiring Python/SQL expertise, familiarity with SASB/TCFD/GRI, and strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, or similar languages for data manipulation and automation.
• Experience with data engineering, ETL, data modeling, and cloud data environments.
• Deep knowledge of sustainability frameworks (SASB, IIRC, TCFD, GRI) and how they translate to technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work directly in client data lakes and systems environments using AI tools, Python, and SQL to build sustainability data infrastructure and analytics.
• Design and build data intake forms, data models, and ETL processes for accurate measurement and assurance.
• Develop testing procedures and controls documentation translating reporting requirements into implementations.
• Explain data architecture and governance concepts to non-technical client teams.
• Execute testing procedures, analyze data, and document findings per audit standards.
• Build expertise in sustainability reporting and contribute to thought leadership.
