Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Lead ETL Engineer (or Data Scientist) to join our ETL Team focused on ingesting and visualizing data from all over the cloud and alerting on deviations of normalization. This position will be located in Hanover, MD, and will be fully remote.

Responsibilities

• Extract, transform, load, and analyze data to create descriptive and predictive models that impact productivity, decision-making, and provide strategic mission impact.
• Employ ETL tools and programming languages to collect and blend data from operational and external systems.
• Conduct data mining, machine learning, and statistical analyses to develop models from diverse datasets.
• Create visualizations to interpret and present findings compellingly.
• Maintain and integrate analytical systems with operational systems, ensuring data accuracy.
• Collaborate with business and data SMEs.

Qualifications

HS Diploma with 9+ years of experience/professional experience. Clearance: Top Secret.

Required Skills and Experience

• Top Secret clearance.
• IAT level II/III certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ (CE)).
• Experience and certifications in Linux and/or AWS GovCloud technologies.
• 5+ years managing small teams, setting priorities, and reporting to leadership.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration.
• Experience with virtual/cloud servers and applications (AWS GovCloud).
• Comfortable speaking in front of large audiences and demoing tools.
• Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.
• Experience in Agile environments.
• Relevant technology certifications.

Pay Range

The posted pay range reflects the expected starting salary, but actual offers may vary based on factors like experience and location. Total compensation may include additional elements discussed during hiring.

Salary Range: USD $155,000 - USD $170,000 per year.
