Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a hands-on Tech Lead/Solutions Architect for a remote contract-to-hire role bridging Finance, Accounting and IT. You will lead delivery, mentor engineers, and drive modernization across .NET, SQL Server, Azure, Azure DevOps and SAP-integrated finance applications.

The ideal candidate has strong architecture capabilities, experience with SAP ECC 6.0/S/4HANA, and proven ability to communicate with CFOs and Controllers while guiding teams through cloud and governance

Qualifications

• Experience as Tech Lead with architecture responsibilities.
• Hands-on development with C#.NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server, HTML/CSS.
• Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with MudBlazor or similar UI frameworks.
• Mandatory SAP experience with strong understanding of SAP architecture/integrations (ECC 6.0 and/or S/4HANA).
• Deep knowledge of Finance and Accounting domains and processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead and trusted advisor for Finance applications.
• Partner with Controllers, CFOs, Product Owners, and Finance stakeholders.
• Translate technical concepts into business terms for non-technical audiences.
• Apply accounting concepts to explain solutions, prioritize work, and enforce delivery accountability.
• Discuss financial controls, GRC, SOX, General Ledger, and finance processes.
• Lead and mentor development teams while remaining hands-on.
• Own delivery estimates, planning, and realistic timelines with capacity forecasts.
• Review code, approve pull requests, and oversee Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Own deployments and release management.
• Expand and mature the Architecture practice and operate as a Solutions Architect.
• Create and maintain roadmaps, architecture diagrams, future-state designs, and modernization strategies.
• Sign off on architectural decisions and technical designs.
• Re-architect legacy apps to improve data quality, scalability, self-service, security, and operations.
• Support application modernization, lift-and-shift, and cloud hardening.
