Job description

TeleSolv Consulting has an immediate opportunity to work for the Federal Government as a Team Lead, Acquisition Strategist Professional.

This is REMOTE in Alexandria, VA with occasional office visits for meetings.

Please note : This is a W2 position. We are not currently offering 1099 or C2C work at this time.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Assist and support the government with acquisitions strategy, continuous process improvement, and strategy development services.
  • The Team Lead will be responsible for all Contractor work performed under this order.
  • The Team Lead must be available to the COR via telephone during core business hours and must respond to a request for discussion or resolution of technical problems within 4 business hours of notification.
  • Oversee daily work obligations for assigned team members, ensuring tasks and projects are completed timely and in accordance with the Statement of Work. Oversee the following activities :

o Provide analysis of vendor spending by category

o Provide support for Industry engagement events

o Provide support for planning, analysis and execution of Acquisition Continuing Process Improvement (ACPI) initiatives

o Assist the government in analysis and evaluation of contract performance measurement

o Assist the government in providing support to ensure procurement packages are actionable

o Provide support to create and maintain acquisition processes guides, desk guides, flow charts, templates, videos, meeting minutes and related materials

  • Active Public Trust clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one
  • Holds a Project Management Professional Certification (PMP or equivalent) and at least 2 years of Project Management experience. Must have experience in one or a combination of the following fields : accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organizational management principles.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, understand English, and is fluent in MS Office 365, and MS Power Platform applications.
  • Training and certification, or at minimum, experience in strategic planning, measurable process improvement methodology including value process analysis and organizational quality programs such as Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, or Information Technology Infrastructure Library Foundations.

  • Ability to draft statements of work, performance work statements, statements of objectives, work orders, service level agreements, organizational level agreements, system specifications, and acquisition plans and Information Technology Acquisition Reviews (ITAR)
  • Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical data
  • Ability to read and interpret acquisition policy, regulations, and directives
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft SharePoint
  • FAC-C or equivalent certification

This position requires that you obtain a background investigation from our client. As part of this process, the government will perform a criminal, credit, tax, employment, and drug history background check. The government has varying tolerances, with mitigating circumstances, for issues in all of the categories. The government is essentially looking to confirm that you are generally in good financial standing, up to date on your tax filings, rehire eligible with your prior employers, and have adhered to any federal restrictions on illegal drug use, including marijuana, in addition to other checks related on your character and trust worthiness.
