Job summary

OpenEd is seeking part-time remote teachers to support a national online learning program. You will work with students and families to provide encouragement, accountability, and individualized support while coordinating with colleagues across the program.

The role emphasizes mentorship, flexibility, and personalized guidance rather than a fixed course load. Responsibilities include synchronous sessions, grading, and creating engaging learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current teaching certification in Oklahoma
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to tailor instruction to individual learning needs
• Familiarity with Google Workspace tools
• Ability to learn various online tools and programs

Responsibilities

• Review and grade student learning logs and provide feedback
• Work synchronously with students in 1:1, small-group, or large-group settings
• Mentor and tutor students enrolled in assigned courses
• Create engaging lessons and activities
• Tailor resources to meet individual student needs
• Identify at-risk students and coordinate interventions
• Communicate with parents to provide guidance and support
• Attend IEP meetings with stakeholders
• Collaborate with teachers to support student success
• Maintain consistent communication and grading aligned with program expectations
