Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Review requirements for Break Systems, Hydraulic Power Systems, Landing Gear Actuation Systems, and Landing Gear Steering Systems against new 777-8F program requirement attributes in accordance with the program Development Assurance process documentation.
  • Assess requirements against airplane and system level changes to classify them as changed/affected or unchanged.
  • Perform systems-level decomposition, verification, and validation per Design Assurance Level A.
  • Assess requirements against program-level guidance to classify them as functional or nonfunctional.
  • Evaluate requirements against system safety analysis and program-level guidance to determine if they are safety applicable or nonapplicable, referencing the safety analysis location that necessitated each safety requirement.
  • Determine verification methods for any changed/affected requirements.
  • Update the new attributes within DOORS accordingly and review results with the technical team.

Position Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with mechanical-hydraulic systems (actuators, pumps, landing gear, and brake systems).
  • Experience with commercial aircraft systems.
  • Knowledge of ARP 4754 standards.
  • Experience with control systems.
  • Familiarity with robotics methods.
  • Mechanical manipulation skills.
  • Experience in systems verification and validation.
