Responsibilities:
- Review Flight Control requirements against new program requirement attributes in accordance with program Development Assurance process documentation.
- This involves assessing the requirements against airplane and system level changes to identify whether they should be classified as changed/affected or unchanged.
- Assessing the requirements against program-level guidance to classify them as functional or nonfunctional.
- Assessing the requirements against the systems safety analysis and program-level guidance to determine if they are safety applicable or nonapplicable, including referencing the safety analysis that drove each safety requirement.
- Determine the verification method for any changed/affected requirements.
- Update the requirements attributes within DOORS and review the results with the technical team.
- Update the PSSAs to ensure functional decomposition aligns with the Preliminary Airplane Safety Analysis (PASA), linking requirements tagged “functional” to model elements and line items within functional decomposition models and hazard assessments.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Extensive flight control systems engineering experience
- Strong verification and validation (V&V) experience
