Job summary

Pellera Information Systems is seeking Systems Engineers for its z Managed Services practice. The role focuses on systems programming in IBM z environments with emphasis on DB2, CICS, and z/OS.

Experience maintaining z environments either in-house or as part of a managed team is required. The candidate will work with Pellera to ensure solutions meet clients’ business objectives, provide trusted advisory services, and participate in proposals and presentations.

Qualifications

• BA or BS in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum of ten years of z/related experience, including bundles operations, applications, and systems programming.
• IBM Certified Specialists and related certifications preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in customer-facing environments with good presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving customer issues.
• Assist in engagement and escalation with software vendors.
• Collaborate with internal and external resources to deliver innovative solutions.
• Implement, customize, debug, and tune system software.
• Provide storage management, disaster recovery, and hardware upgrade services.
• Monitor performance and capacity.
• Document customer environments.
