Job summary

Astrion is seeking a Surveillance Radar Installer to support FAA - PSS Contract, offering remote work with extensive site deployments and up to 75% travel. This full-time role requires a engineering degree or equivalent experience and hands-on installation, integration, testing, and field deployment of technical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, or related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting hardware installation, system integration, testing, or field deployment for technical or operational systems.
• Ability to work during off-hours, low-activity periods, or facility shutdowns.
• Ability to coordinate with sponsors, facilities teams, and technical support personnel for site installation activities.
• Experience delivering technical briefings or status updates to project teams or government stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication to report installation progress, issues, and risks.
• Familiarity with safety standards and procedures for electronic or automation systems.
• Ability to travel extensively for site implementation schedules.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for automation system installations from deployment through ORD.
• Coordinate with FAA sponsors and facilities teams to ensure planning, delivery, installation, checkout, and testing at designated sites.
• Perform installation and test activities during third shift hours and facility shutdown periods; support site implementation end-to-end.
• Develop and deliver site briefings to sponsors, technical teams, and stakeholders.
• Communicate progress with FAA sponsor and management; update KSNs with status.
• Travel up to 2–3 weeks per month over an 18-month period to support installations and testing.
• Apply safety standards while working around sensitive equipment.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 pounds.
