Job summary

Giga Energy is seeking a Surety & Insurance Risk Manager to join the Risk & Insurance team. You will manage bonding submissions, risk reporting, and insurance program administration, scaling processes as the company grows.

Remote role with occasional travel and close collaboration with Growth and Finance. You will lead day-to-day bond administration, develop portfolio-wide risk insights, and coordinate with Legal and Finance on deal structuring.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of experience in insurance, risk management, or performance bonds/surety.
• Knowledge of how performance bonds are underwritten, priced, and structured.
• Understanding of corporate and project-level insurance programs.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Comfortable operating with incomplete information in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day administration of performance bond submissions—paperwork, timelines, and status tracking across all live deals.
• Build and own portfolio-wide risk reporting—aggregate bond capacity, exposure, and insurance program status across all active and pipeline deals.
• Administer corporate and project-level insurance programs—renewals, certificates of insurance, coverage tracking.
• Build and maintain the data infrastructure that lets the function scale as Giga grows.
• Prepare deal-level bonding and insurance summaries for broker and surety negotiations.
• Partner with Legal, Finance, and Growth on the operational side of deal structuring.
• Build the processes, templates, and systems that will scale the function as Giga grows.
