Job summary

Trane Technologies, a world leader in climate solutions, seeks a Remote Support Specialist focusing on remote support, troubleshooting, upgrades, and investigation of Trane Digital Systems for the Upper Midwest.

You will support commissioning, programming, and updates; document analytics; and work with customers to diagnose and resolve issues remotely while staying current on Direct Digital Control products. Safety and overtime may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school preferred.
• BAS (building automation) 5–7 years experience preferred.
• Strong MS Office proficiency; working with handheld devices.
• Previous DDC controls experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support commissioning, programming, and updates of graphics and communications for digital systems.
• Document digital analytics and sequence validation; provide related support.
• Service products and equipment on projects; diagnose and remotely resolve issues.
• Coordinate with team leader and customer to define remote service requirements; review building layouts.
• Stay current on Trane products for direct digital control systems.
• Enforce safety standards and track company assets.
• Flexibility to work overtime and occasional overnight stays.
• Work hours: 7AM to 4PM local time.

Where Is The Work

Virtual

Remote Support Specialist which primarily focuses on the remote support, troubleshooting, upgrades, and investigation of Trane Digital Systems. Supporting the Upper Midwest Regions Digital and Controls offerings.

• Responsible for the continuing support of commissioning, programming, and updating of graphics, communications link, end to end testing, troubleshooting and servicing of digital agreement clients.
• Responsible for documenting digital analytics, sequence of operations validation, and associated support functions.
• Represents the company by being responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, diagnosing and remotely identifying and resolving equipment and systems related issues at the client’s locations.
• Coordinates with team leader and customer to precisely understand requirements for all remote services and repairs by extensively examining building layouts, forecasting issues, gathering analytics and synchronizing with any required on-site work.
• Keeps current on Trane products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of direct digital control systems.
• Continually enforces safety to the highest standards and maintains security and accountability of company issued and procured assets by recording use, wear and conditions.
• Displays team effort and dedication to customer by maintaining flexibility to work overtime and weekends as the business requires, including occasional overnight stays.
• 7AM to 4PM local time.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent, or certificate of completion from an accredited technical school is required. Typically requires at least 7 years of experience in HVAC/Controls. Technical School or formal training is preferred
• BAS (building automation) 5-7 years experience preferred
• Strong operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with hand held computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad)
• Previous experience with DDC controls system preferred
