Detailed Role Description
This ideal candidate is responsible for providing BMS remote support for our global strategic and local accounts. Below is the outlined experience and daily responsibilities for this role:
Desired experience:
- Knowledge of DDC programming in proprietary platforms, PLC programming in FBD, Script, or Ladder diagram.
- Knowledge of building management system protocols like BACnet, LonWorks, Modbus, OPC, and others.
- Exposure to HVAC systems such as Air Handling Units, Chiller/Boiler Systems, Variable Air Volume Boxes, with the ability to engineer turnkey solutions.
- Ability to interpret HVAC software control loops, sequences of operation, plant schematics, system architecture, and electrical concepts for troubleshooting.
- Experience in on-site or remote technical support for connectivity and system configuration issues.
- Experience in life sciences (pharmaceutical) and/or data centers using EcoStruxure Building Operation Software SCADA, SQL database querying, and programming is a plus.
- Familiarity with standard progress reporting tools and processes is advantageous.
- Experience working on global projects or in global engineering centers is preferred.
- Attention to detail, proactive attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate with professionals from diverse technical backgrounds including engineers, electricians, IT personnel, and account managers.
Key Deliverables:
- Resolve customer technical inquiries related to SCADA systems within scope and SLA.
- Manage case documentation, support process adherence, field service dispatch, and escalation procedures.
- Assist customers with onboarding, including scope, SLA, tools, reporting, and training for onsite team members.
- Document technical cases to enhance knowledge base.
- Engage in continuous learning and training, and identify opportunities for team improvement.
Minimum qualifications:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent from a recognized university.
- 3-5 years proven experience with BMS/EMS applications and solutions.
- Building management or energy management certifications are a plus.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
