Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. is seeking a Supplier Quality Surveillance Engineer to support Procurement in implementing supplier quality inspections and audits.

This full-time position requires an Electrical Engineering degree and 4 years of supplier quality experience, with up to 85% travel and potential international trips. Qualifications

• Required Electrical Engineering degree with comparable direct experience/degree/certification follows.
• 4 years applicable work experience in professional supplier quality
• 2 years applicable work experience in professional supplier quality with 2-year technical/associate's degree in electrical technology
• 0-1 years applicable work experience with 4-year bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
• Broad working knowledge of all design/craft disciplines and engineered equipment/materials associated with renewable energy and electrical projects and must be familiar with their special processes, inspection, and testing techniques
• Must be familiar with electrical procurement and vendor surveillance procedures as well as working knowledge of construction industry codes and standards related to the manufacture and testing of electrical components/systems such as IEEE, IECC, NEC, NFPA, NESC, IBC, IFC, etc.)
• Be detail oriented, Effective time management and organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Must be team player but able to work independently, to meet intense deadlines, goals and objectives
• The position may require up to 85% travel and may require occasional travel outside of the USA

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to moderately complex quality assurance and quality control shop inspections and audits to ensure materials meet quality standards
• Assist in ensuring subcontracts meet Rosendin Procurement quality standards and customer's expectations
• Require understanding of Rosendin electrical equipment and materials related to fabrication, testing, and functionality
• Read, understand, and analyze equipment specifications and drawings for supplier testing/inspections
• Report manufacturing problems and assist in identifying root cause and corrective actions
• Communicate inspection/audit results and recommend corrective actions
• Assist in supplier prequalification by performing supplier audits/assessments
• Provide support to Divisions and projects in overseeing fabricator and subcontractor quality
• Review supplier NCRs and assist in corrective action plans
• Provide input to rating supplier quality performance
• Support cross-functional relationships and collaboration
• Assist in program/process/policy improvement
• Write inspection/audit reports and attend pre-fabrication meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned
