Job summary

DIRECTV is offering a 10-week remote Content Summer Intern position across four focus areas: Content Strategy & Development, Contracts & Compliance, Content & Programming, and Content Development. You will analyze data, build dashboards, and support cross-functional initiatives.

The role is open to all majors with a preference for Media & Entertainment, Management, CS, Data Analytics, or Leadership tracks. Strong Excel/PowerPoint skills and a proactive mindset are required.

Qualifications

• Open to all majors; preferred backgrounds include Media & Entertainment, Management, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or Leadership tracks
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
• Experience working in cross-functional environments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• A proactive, self-motivated mindset with a desire to learn and grow
• Nice to have familiarity with AI LLMs for research and analysis

Responsibilities

• Analyze data, benchmark, and research to shape content strategy and development
• Build dashboards and deliver presentations; support cross-functional initiatives
• Assist with database software implementation and AI integration; conduct data audits and support migration
• Support reporting automation and data management, validation, and analysis using databases, queries, APIs or system integrations
• Review contracts and summarize key findings
• Analyze channel performance, marketing and competition; support project management and reporting
• Assist with third-party authentication audits and deep-dive analysis of programmer portfolios and rights
