Job summary

CorVel seeks a Subrogation Specialist to identify subrogation potential and manage recovery for Workers' Compensation and property/auto claims. You will prepare lien letters, negotiate settlements, and provide service to claimants, carriers, and clients.

The role supports remote, hybrid, and onsite work arrangements and requires strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, with experience in workers' comp subrogation or auto damage subrogation preferred.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree preferred.
• Experience in workers' compensation subrogation or auto damage subrogation preferred; PIP/Med Pay subrogation considered.

Responsibilities

• Identify subrogation potential based on facts of loss.
• Negotiate settlements with liability insurers or third-party attorneys.
• Prepare lien notices and pursue recovery rights by mail or email.
• Maintain diary and follow up on Third Party settlements.
• Negotiate recovery of clients' damages.
• Communicate claim status to claimants and risk management.
• Adhere to client guidelines and participate in claim reviews as needed.
• Develop and maintain professional customer relationships.
• Manage a queue of 250–300 claims.
