Job summary

UC Office of the President in California is seeking a Student AI Coach (Current UC Students only) to provide practical support for the UCOP AI Program. This 100% remote position runs Fall 2026 through June 30, 2027, with 10–20 hours per week around academics.

You will help employees use approved AI tools, develop resources, and support the AI Buddy Program. The role emphasizes mentorship, supervised skill development, and hands-on experience in a higher education setting, with supervision and

Qualifications

Interest in artificial intelligence and willingness to learn how approved AI tools apply to workplace activities.
Experience using generative AI tools such as ChatGPT Edu, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Box AI, or similar.
Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication across teams and departments.
Ability to manage tasks in a structured environment while balancing a student schedule.

Responsibilities

Coaching and Enablement: assist with office hours and small group coaching under supervision.
Reusable Resources: develop starter kits, prompts, and guides for UCOP workflows.
Impact and Reporting: gather use cases, time savings, and activity data for program staff.
Program Support and Learning: participate in meetings, mentoring, and learning activities.
