Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Tekla Detailer to join our team in Charlottesville, VA, with remote options for candidates nationwide.

You will produce 3D models and fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures, interpret drawings, and coordinate with engineers and fabricators to ensure accuracy. Ideal candidates have 2+ years as a Tekla Detailer, strong knowledge of AISC, and proficiency in clash detection and coordination.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Tekla Detailer (structural steel).
• Advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures.
• Strong knowledge of AISC, or relevant industry standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Experience with clash detection and coordination.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings for assigned projects using Tekla Structures.
• Interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and design intent.
• Produce shop drawings, erection drawings, material take-offs, generate BOMs/NC files, follow company drawing standards and QA checklists.
• Coordinate with senior detailers, engineers, project managers, and shop personnel to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Review and check drawings for quality, completeness, and compliance with project standards; manage revisions and updates throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in resolving design and fabrication issues.
