Job summary

National Veterinary Associates (NVA) is seeking a Manager of Strategic Sourcing, Indirect, to lead a small remote team and drive value across IT software, hardware, and other indirect categories.

You will shape sourcing strategies, conduct end-to-end negotiations, and partner with Operations, Finance, and Real Estate to align with enterprise goals. A healthcare/veterinary setting experience is a plus, with a focus on cost savings and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• At least 2–3 years of direct people management experience.
• Proven experience managing sourcing projects and negotiations in matrixed environments.
• Experience in healthcare, veterinary, or multi-site organizations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 1–2 sourcing professionals across geographies.
• Set objectives, coach, and align with organizational goals.
• Foster accountability and continuous improvement within the sourcing team.
• Manage resource allocation and prioritization for projects.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies across IT software and hardware.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing (RFPs, negotiations, contracting, implementation).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and evaluate suppliers.
