Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 2–5 years in government relations, public policy, legislative affairs, or policy analysis.
• Hands-on experience with legislative tracking, bill analysis, and policy research.
• Strong writing and editing skills for internal stakeholders.
• Good understanding of state legislative processes and how policy decisions are shaped.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track state legislative and regulatory activity across assigned policy areas and escalate relevant developments to senior Government Relations colleagues.
• Develop and maintain policy scorecards and track progress against business and Government Relations objectives.
• Review introduced legislation and regulatory proposals and summarize key provisions, status, and potential implications.
• Produce updates like legislative trackers, policy digests, alerts, and concise summaries for internal planning.
• Prepare clear written materials for internal use by the USGR team and internal briefings.
