Twilio Inc. is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to advance our fraud detection and prevention products. You will work primarily on device fingerprinting to detect bots and abuse, partnering with product leadership to shape architectural direction.

You’ll contribute high-ownership software with startup speed, backed by Twilio’s scale, and collaborate across teams to stay ahead of threats while mentori ng teammates and delivering robust, scalable solutions.

Competenze

• 6+ years designing, building and operating production systems.
• Expertise in C or C++.
• Familiarity with a production-grade code base and good coding standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Schedule: ability to work non-standard, on-call rotation weekends and holidays.

Mansioni

• Build and own fraud detection capabilities for the Twilio fraud platform, digging into browser and device internals to improve threat identification.
• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to set direction and deliver high-impact roadmap features.
• Collaborate across Twilio and Stytch teams to align on architecture and integration.
• Own design docs, drive key technical decisions, review code, and stay close to the systems you ship.
• Build in ambiguity—break down complex problems and adopt new technologies when they improve outcomes.
• Improve production quality and resilience through observability and incident response.
• Mentor engineers through pairing, feedback, and knowledge-sharing to raise the team's technical bar.
