Work Truck Solutions is seeking a remote Staff Software Engineer to lead backend systems in .NET and SQL Server, with frontend awareness to own features end-to-end. You will influence multiple teams, define patterns, and guide AI-driven development across the codebase.

You’ll set coding standards for AI-generated code, mentor engineers, and collaborate with a distributed team to ship high-performance, secure software. A staff-level track record and strong Git workflow are essential.

Qualifications

• Backend engineer with strong .NET and SQL Server experience.
• AI-driven development experience and familiarity with agent-based tooling.
• Full-stack capability to own a feature from database to UI.

Responsibilities

• Technical leadership across teams; set domain direction and mentor engineers.
• Lead AI-driven development; maintain skills, agents, and context for codebases.
• Define standards for AI-generated code; oversee reviews and testing.
• Raise AI fluency; coach through pairing and code reviews.
• Drive ambiguous projects; plan, tradeoffs, and ship results.
• Deliver high-quality, secure, scalable applications with clean architecture.
• Lead through writing specs; define performance metrics and observability.
• Set and enforce coding standards; teach via reviews and pairing.
• Collaborate with a distributed team; surface issues early and align with partners.
