Job summary

Datadog is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead architecture and development of security agent capabilities powering runtime threat detection and workload protection across its security products.

You will design and build reusable eBPF-based monitoring for process, file, and network visibility in Linux environments, and drive end-to-end delivery from strategy to rollout, with cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Significant experience building software in Linux environments.
• Hands-on with eBPF and kernel-level instrumentation.
• Experience delivering production software across Linux distributions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and development of security agent capabilities for runtime threat detection.
• Design and build eBPF-based monitoring for Linux process, file, and network visibility.
• Drive end-to-end delivery from strategy through testing and rollout.
• Establish testing methodologies to improve coverage, detection quality, and performance.
• Collaborate with product, security, infrastructure, and engineering teams to share platform capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring across teams.
