Job summary

Alteryx is seeking a Staff Developer Platform Engineer to drive infrastructure, pipeline, and release-safety across engineering. Based in the USA, you will partner with Developer Platform & Enablement to enable fast, safe product shipping.

You will own infrastructure, pipeline, and deployment work across Developer Platform & Enablement, focusing on GitLab operations, CI/CD orchestration, and AI SDLC tooling to improve developer experience. Remote-friendly role with cross-team impact.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, DevOps/Platform Engineer, or SRE with Staff-level scope.
Deep, hands-on experience administering GitLab or comparable SCM/CI at scale, in a self-hosted environment (GCP/GKE or AWS/EKS/EC2).
Proven experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines and progressive-delivery tooling (Argo Rollouts, Kargo).
Strong track record in safe deployment, rollback, and recovery for large distributed cloud systems, incl. DB change management.
Solid understanding of Kubernetes, containers, and cloud infra (GCP preferred).
Experience coaching engineers and driving adoption of new tooling across teams.

Responsibilities

Evolve GitLab at scale in GCP/GKE, incl. governance, runners, and pipeline infra.
Design and implement pipeline orchestration and progressive-delivery systems (Argo Rollouts, Kargo).
Partner with Connectors teams on DevOps for third-party connectors (ODBC etc.).
Contribute to FinSights: developer insights and FinOps tooling.
Oversee buildout of deployment and release-safety practices for large distributed cloud systems.
Collaborate with engineering teams on safe database change management and recovery.
