Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a data engineer to map data sources, manage data movement, interfaces, and analytics to ensure data quality within PLM and MDM platforms. You will work on moderately complex tasks under supervision, contributing to service‑oriented components and reusable design patterns.

You will participate in technical discussions, develop and test designs, and align work with enterprise architecture standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of professional experience OR Associate with 7+ years OR HS with 9+ years of professional experience
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Application Engineering
• Military experience considered equivalent to professional experience

Responsibilities

• Execute data mapping, data movement, and interface tasks supporting data quality in PLM/MDM
• Participate in technical discussions and document design decisions
• Develop, configure, and test designs for components and tasks
• Follow enterprise architecture standards and domain governance
• Evaluate tools and emerging technologies for project tasks
• Build reusable, service‑oriented platform components
• Develop and test POCs using documented patterns
• Collaborate with project lead to align work with goals
• Address data-related integration issues with business functions
• Apply validation methods for data quality at entry
• Support vendor evaluations in PLM functional space
• Build peer and cross-functional relationships to share best practices
• Leverage experience with ALM/PLM platforms
• Exposure to microservices, SOA, Hadoop, Elasticsearch, Solr, cloud, and DevOps
