Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff AI Engineer to design, build, and ship AI-powered observability features. You will enable users to detect, triage, and resolve incidents with scalable AI workflows.

The role emphasizes autonomy and cross‑functional collaboration with data scientists, product managers, and designers. Required: experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and GenAI-powered applications in production.

Qualifications

• Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and building GenAI-powered applications in production.
• Proven track record delivering software in production and scaling AI features.
• Exposure to cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience using observability tools to understand and troubleshoot system behavior.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver AI solutions: develop high-performance AI features for incident detection, triage, and resolution.
• Rapid experimentation and iteration: prototype, test with real users, ship agent-powered workflows.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with data analysts, product managers, and designers to shape AI-driven features.
• Utilize AI tools to enhance product functionality and development workflows.
• Communicate effectively in a dynamic, collaborative environment; own AI solutions end-to-end.
