Job summary

Tablespoon LLC, a virtual firm serving restaurant clients, seeks a Staff Accountant to handle the full accounting cycle for assigned accounts using cloud software. Daily tasks include reconciliations, A/P processing, documenting journal entries, and communicating with clients to resolve questions.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in accounting or equivalent experience, restaurant industry exposure, strong time management, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in accounting or equivalent experience.
• Experience in hospitality/restaurant with P&L exposure is preferred.
• Customer service mindset and strong communication.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Ability to protect client confidentiality and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily bank reconciliations for multiple clients.
• Review and post restaurant daily sales information.
• Investigate exceptions or variances in sales and bank activity.
• Assist with accounts payable, including coding invoices.
• Correspond with vendors to resolve account issues.
• Prepare journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Prepare monthly sales tax returns.
• Communicate with clients to obtain missing information and provide support.
