Job summary

Mobiz IT, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to own the monthly close process in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, handling end-to-end journal entries and reconciliations for a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.

You will code with full dimension values, perform intercompany reconciliations, and contribute to variance analyses, budgeting support, and process improvements through automation.

Qualifications

• Requires 4+ years of progressive accounting experience with ownership of month-end close tasks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP including revenue recognition for subscriptions and multi-period contracts.
• Minimum 2 years hands-on Dynamics 365 Business Central experience.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close and journal entries, including deferrals, accruals, and amortization.
• Perform intercompany cross-charge entries and reconcile due-to/due-from balances.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and lines of credit monthly; pursue weekly cadence.
• Prepare intercompany allocations and maintain department/project/site dimensions.
• Produce monthly P&L by department and perform variance analysis (>|5%|).
• Support tax/compliance tasks and prepare schedules for external CPA firms.
