School Administrative Unit 43 seeks a Paraprofessional II to support tele-therapy sessions at Richards Elementary School in Newport, NH. The on-site facilitator bridges the remote SLP and students, managing schedules, materials, and transitions.

The role requires NH Para Educator II certification, a HS diploma or GED, and comfort with Zoom/Google Meet. Work hours are 8:15 AM–2:45 PM, Monday–Friday, with district benefits.

Qualifications

• Active Para Educator II Certification in New Hampshire (NH ED 504.04 compliant) required.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree or 48+ college credits preferred.
• Experience with elementary or middle school children, especially with IEPs or speech-language needs, is desirable.
• Tech literacy: comfortable using video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Google Meet), laptops, tablets, and basic educational software.
• Clearances: must complete state and federal background checks and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Tele-Therapy Facilitation: set up technology, ensure stable connections, assist students during remote sessions.
• Schedule Management: maintain weekly service schedule for punctuality.
• Student Escort & Transitions: safely transport students between classrooms and the speech room.
• Material & Technology Support: prepare manipulatives, worksheets, and digital tools as directed.
• Behavior Management: use positive reinforcement and behavior plans to keep sessions productive.
• Data & Communication: assist in tracking attendance and communicate with teachers and remote SLP.
• Other Support: provide additional classroom or administrative support as needed.
