Job summary

Minnesota Connections Academy seeks a Special Education Case Manager to work from a remote home office within Minnesota. The role manages a caseload of students with special needs, guiding the IEP process and coordinating services to ensure compliance with IDEA.

Responsibilities include writing and implementing IEPs, progress monitoring, communicating with parents and learning coaches, scheduling virtual meetings, and collaborating with teachers and providers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Special Education or related field.
• Active Minnesota Special Education certification.
• Experience with IDEA policy and/or administration.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for events.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with a track record.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write and implement IEPs.
• Ensure 100% compliance of all IDEA documentation.
• Evaluate tests and assessments, complete progress monitoring.
• Communicate with parents/learning coaches about IEP goals and needs.
• Consult with teachers to coordinate specially designed instruction.
• Schedule IEP meetings in a virtual environment.
• Assist with program modifications and strategies for all students.
• Maintain data in LMS and special education software.
• Assist with state testing and required adaptations.
• Coordinate services with providers and transition planning.
• Complete transition interviews and draft transition plans.
• Other duties as assigned.
