Talan Spain is seeking an experienced Backend Developer with strong Apache Spark and Scala expertise to join our distributed teams. You will build and maintain backend solutions, collaborating with the squad from user stories and coding to testing and production validation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience with Apache Spark and Scala.
• Strong PL/SQL experience.
• Experience with Control-M.
• Experience in Agile development environments.
• Knowledge of software development best practices and production support.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and implement user stories and technical requirements.
• Develop and maintain backend solutions using Apache Spark and Scala.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from development to production validation.
• Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with the Agile squad to meet timelines.
• Provide support during UAT and deployment activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as needed.
• Work in accordance with Agile methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
