ContactLink Solutions is seeking a skilled Somali interpreter based in the United States for a fully remote role. You will interpret between Somali and English speakers, providing accurate, culturally aware translations from your home office.

The position is a full-time contractor role with immediate availability after onboarding. You should maintain a quiet, secure environment and use glossaries and dictionaries as needed to ensure high accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Fluency in both English and Somali.
• Based in the United States.
• Minimum 3 years of interpretation experience.
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills.
• Ability to render correct concepts and meanings per interpretation protocols.
• Ability to explain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication when requested.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls professionally, acting according to the interpreter’s code of conduct.
• Familiar with industry-specific vocabulary, especially healthcare terminology.
• Participate in internal professional training.
• Communicate and report to your team leader.
