Job summary

Databricks is seeking a seasoned Solutions Architect to drive customer engagement strategies in partnership with Account Executives across the territory, and to coach junior teams on use case prioritization and building technical champions.

You will influence stakeholders across the cloud ecosystem, act as an expert solution architect for data analytics architecture, and contribute to community workshops and meet-ups.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of presales/customer-facing technical experience.
• Experience engaging in complex customer interactions and sales lifecycle in a technical pre-sales capacity.
• Ability to influence decision-makers and executives by developing relationships and orchestrating teams.
• Experience with coding in Python, Java, or Scala and willingness to learn Spark.
• Hands-on expertise with complex proofs-of-concept and public cloud platforms.
• Ability to provide technical solutions for specialized customer needs and navigate a competitive landscape.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer engagement strategies in partnership with Account Executives in your designated territory.
• Coach junior Solutions Architects and teams on use case prioritization and building technical champions.
• Influence stakeholders at all levels through complex engagements with the wider cloud ecosystem and 3rd party applications, ensuring they are excited by the Databricks vision and solution strategy.
• Be a 'champion' for both customers and colleagues, operating as an expert solution architect and trusted advisor for significant data analytics architecture, design, and adoption of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
• Contribute to Databricks' technical community engagement by developing customer-facing collateral and leading workshops, seminars, and meet-ups.
