Placements24 is seeking a Remote Solar PV Design Engineer to design and specify PV systems for commercial, industrial, and utility-scale projects. You will work with project managers, sales teams, and installation partners to deliver efficient, code-compliant designs from a remote setting.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of solar design experience and strong skills in PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, and SketchUp, with excellent communication for distributed teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of solar PV system design experience.
• Proficiency with PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, and SketchUp.
• Knowledge of PV modules, inverters, storage, and mounting solutions.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards.
• Strong communication and collaboration in distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Design solar PV installations including site layout and BOM/BOQ.
• Create drawings and schematics using AutoCAD and PVsyst.
• Perform energy production modeling and optimization.
• Ensure designs meet codes and safety standards.
• Collaborate remotely with sales and installation partners.
