Intuitive Machines in Palo Alto, CA is seeking a Software Systems Engineer to apply systems engineering principles to design, develop, and integrate software within a broader system context. The role offers a remote option for US-based candidates and requires collaboration with customer stakeholders, systems and subsystem engineers to ensure software aligns with architecture and operational requirements.

• US Citizen or US permanent resident
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering and/or software systems engineering
• Ability to travel occasionally for customer reviews and technical meetings
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming and object-oriented programming
• Familiarity with embedded operating systems (VxWorks, FreeRTOS, cFS)
• Knowledge of spacecraft subsystems (e.g., ADCS, C&DH, power, propulsion, payload)
• Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., JAMA, DOORs)
• Understanding of V&V methodologies and practices
• Proven ability to lead technical discussions with customers and stakeholders
• MBSE experience (SysML/UML) is a plus
• INCOSE CSEP certification or equivalent (preferred)

Responsabilidades

• Analyze ConOps and system specifications to decompose and allocate flight software requirements
• Define high level software architecture aligned with system requirements and safety considerations
• Coordinate with flight software architects to ensure integration with system components
• Develop integrated use cases to validate software against system context
• Create models using UML and SysML for early validation and issue detection
• Lead technical meetings and trade studies with customers and stakeholders from concepts to implementation
