Job summary

UST in San Jose, CA, is seeking a QA Analyst to join our software testing team. You will focus on analyzing, designing and executing functional tests, managing defects, and documenting results to ensure quality throughout the development cycle.

The role involves refining user stories, crafting test cases, executing cycles, supporting UAT, and contributing to testing strategy, all while communicating clearly in English and collaborating with agile teams.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in testing best practices, ideally aligned with ISTQB.
• Experience with agile methodologies.
• Intermediate English minimum; advanced preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participating in the refinement of user stories.
• Reviewing and validating acceptance criteria.
• Designing test cases, test sets, and test executions according to assigned user stories.
• Executing test cycles.
• Identifying, documenting, and providing visibility of defects, including severity and corresponding evidence.
• Supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes.
• Generate test scenarios based on defined acceptance criteria.
• Obtain or generate data for testing.
• Contribute to defining the testing strategy.
• Identify risks that may affect project objectives or deliverables.
