Obsidian Systems is seeking a Software Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex software engagements from scope to production delivery. You will bridge clients and engineering teams, translating objectives into actionable plans and managing dependencies and risks.

You will work with engineers, technical leads, clients, and internal stakeholders to ensure clarity, track progress, and keep projects moving toward successful outcomes while avoiding unnecessary churn.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of experience in software project management or delivery management.
• Experience delivering complex software projects from planning to completion.
• Experience with software engineers and technical leads.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Ability to understand technical concepts without needing to be a software engineer.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with ambiguity and evolving processes.
• Experience working with distributed or remote teams.

Responsabilidades

• Own client software projects from initial planning through delivery and close.
• Translate scope and objectives into milestones, deliverables, and plans.
• Partner with engineering leads to understand requirements and risks.
• Maintain a clear view of project health across scope, timeline, and resources.
• Identify delivery risks early and drive mitigation plans.
• Facilitate kickoffs, planning, status meetings, and retrospectives.
• Ensure engineers have context, decisions, and stakeholder access.
• Communicate status, risks, trade-offs, and changes to all audiences.
• Protect teams from churn while keeping strong client relationships.
• Escalate issues with context and recommended steps.
• Continuously improve PM processes, tooling, and documentation.
