Job summary

Jack Henry & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineering Supervisor to lead the software development team responsible for new products, enhancements, and defect resolution.

This is a remote position, with candidates expected to live within approximately 70 miles of Springfield, MO or Monett, MO. You will supervise the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of software solutions, guide technical design requirements, and ensure quality through testing and debugging.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of technical experience in software development.
• Experience with SilverLake and/or CIF 2020 product preferred.
• Previous leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervises the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of software solutions.
• Oversees the definition and documentation of business and technical design requirements. Oversees the preparation of technical design specifications, analysis, and recommendations.
• Ensures all software solutions and enhancements are fully tested, debugged, and meet product quality standards prior to release to QA.
• Determines practicality of ideas based on projected costs and sales potential.
• Ensures clarity on our technology strategy and identifies improvements needed at the strategic level to drive the teams forward
• Assists with coding, debugging, and other similar development-related activities.
• May provide guidance for escalated issues.
• May participate in the recruiting and training processes and contribute information for the preparation of annual department budgets.
