Job summary

American Specialty Health Incorporated is seeking a Manager - Software Engineering to lead the Consumer Technology - Software (CRS) team in developing, implementing, and maintaining web-based applications.

You will recruit and mentor engineers, drive Agile processes, oversee project planning, and partner with product owners to deliver high-quality software while balancing technical debt and delivery speed in a remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; HS diploma acceptable if equivalent.
• 5–7 years of Software Engineering experience with large-scale Web-based applications using Microsoft technologies.
• Healthcare background is a plus.
• Proven management skills of enterprise level websites.
• Ability to lead and mentor other team members.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies and cross-discipline technologies including React, cloud infrastructure, and testing frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-directed with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

• Provide mentorship and coaching to team members and conduct performance reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality and delivery speed.

• Collaborate with Product Owners to develop detailed project plans, timelines, and risks.
• Monitor progress, milestones, and adjust plans as needed.
• Promote continuous improvement and effective use of Agile tools.
