Job summary

BPX Logistics is seeking a Software Engineer to build and maintain systems that support freight execution and shipment visibility. Work on internal apps for TMS workflows, warehouse reporting, and customer-facing tracking from a fully remote setup with overlap during U.S.

business hours. The role offers full-time or part-time hours, a strong emphasis on code quality, collaboration, and scalable architecture.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience designing and maintaining REST APIs.
• Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL preferred.
• Hands-on cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience with unit and integration testing and code reviews.
• Knowledge of observability fundamentals (logging, metrics, alerting).
• Experience with integrations (EDI/X12, carrier APIs, webhooks) is a plus.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Comfortable collaborating in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features for internal platforms supporting TMS and warehouse workflows.
• Build customer-facing shipment visibility experiences, including tracking milestones and reporting.
• Design and implement integrations with customers, carriers, and partners via API/EDI.
• Improve data quality, accuracy, and reliability for shipment and operational records.
• Translate SOPs and edge cases into product requirements with stakeholders.
• Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and integration guides.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture decisions and standards.
• Support production reliability by monitoring system health and resolving incidents.
