Job summary

OCH Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer/Systems Integrator to contribute to a significant government project, providing software development and infrastructure support. The role emphasizes integration, high availability, and security compliance, with opportunity to work on mission-critical systems remotely.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive performance improvements, manage containerized deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and stay current with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in computer science, engineering, math or science.
• At least five years of relevant experience in the field.
• Experience with Agile software development.
• Experience with Git and peer/code review processes.
• Experience integrating software applications, APIs, databases, and external systems.
• Experience with Docker containerization.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to integration of software components and troubleshoot integration issues.
• Collaborate with infrastructure team to ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and integration issues to minimize downtime.
• Refactor and optimize existing code as part of modernization efforts.
• Support system upgrades including testing and compatibility with existing infrastructure.
• Gather requirements, test, and provide configuration management including release management and CI/CD pipeline support.
• Assist in design and implementation of containerized applications.
• Provide recommendations for system improvements and modernization strategies.
• Work with teams to meet project milestones on time and within scope.
