Twilio, a remote-first company based in the United States, seeks a Software Engineer L2 (Messaging Channels) to develop scalable APIs and rich messaging features across channels like WhatsApp, RCS and Facebook Messenger.

You will design and maintain backend services,Deploy in AWS, collaborate with distributed teams, and leverage AI-assisted tooling to accelerate development while ensuring reliability and performance.

Formación

• 3+ years of hands-on software development experience building backend services in Java or Go.
• Experience designing and building production RESTful APIs as a core part of your day-to-day role.
• Experience operating distributed systems on top of cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred, or equivalent with Azure/GCP).
• Hands-on use of AI development tools (e.g. Claude, Copilot) to streamline coding, debugging or documentation.
• Strong written and verbal technical communication skills.
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation (weekends and holidays).

Responsabilidades

• Build High-Scale APIs: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance REST APIs and backend microservices using Java and Go.
• Power Rich Messaging: Build and enhance rich messaging features, managing high-throughput message routing and delivery pipelines.
• Operate Cloud Systems: Deploy and support backend services in AWS (open to Azure/GCP), prioritizing reliability and low latency.
• Leverage Modern AI Tools: Integrate AI-assisted development tools into daily workflow to accelerate output and code quality.
• Own System Reliability: Support on-call rotations to maintain high availability for core services.
• Collaborate Remotely: Work asynchronously across distributed teams with clear written and verbal communication.
