Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Software Engineer II to design and deliver scalable Java-based solutions in a remote role for US-based candidates. You will work with senior engineers and cross-functional partners to turn ideas into reliable code, strengthen technical design, and ensure maintainable, well-documented solutions.

Candidates should have 2-3 years of software development experience, proficiency in Java/J2EE with Spring and Maven, and AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, SNS, SQS).

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of software development experience.
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years with Java and J2EE, including Spring and Maven.
• Working knowledge of AWS cloud services (EC2, SNS, SQS, S3, Lambda).
• Experience with databases such as MongoDB, Elasticsearch, MySQL.
• Exposure to event-driven architecture and rules engines.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable and maintainable software solutions.
• Translate ideas into high-quality code under senior guidance.
• Contribute to technical design and documentation.
• Collaborate with team and cross-functional partners to resolve dependencies.
