Job summary

Honeycomb.io is building observability tools for AI-rich environments, enabling end-to-end insight from data ingestion to in-product visualizations. You will contribute to data models and infrastructure, shipping features used in production, while collaborating with product managers and designers to deliver usable experiences.

The role requires 3+ years in software engineering, plus experience shipping customer-facing SaaS features, and hands-on use of AI tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience shipping customer-facing features at a SaaS company.
• Full-stack: backend (Go and/or Python) and frontend (TypeScript and React).
• Collaborates with product managers and designers.
• Regular use of AI tools in engineering work.
• Experience being on call.

Responsibilities

• Deliver AI observability capabilities end to end, from ingestion to in-product visualizations.
• Contribute to the data model and infrastructure for observing agents and ecosystems within Honeycomb.
• Build systems that analyze AI signals like cost, token usage, errors, and anomalies.
• Collaborate with product and design to ensure usable, intuitive features.
• Share learnings about AI system behavior across conversations and workloads.
• Iterate with fast feedback loops and share wins and failures.
