Crate and Barrel is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to design, development, and deployment of our software solutions. The role focuses on building generative AI capabilities and automated workflows across enterprise platforms, helping remove technology friction for Associates.

This remote, IC position requires 2–5 years of experience, proficiency in Java/Python/JavaScript, and a practical mindset for shipping scalable software in a fast-paced retail tech environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of software development experience.
• Experience building generative AI features and LLM-based apps is preferred.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software features with moderate autonomy in an agile process.
• Develop and maintain generative AI features within enterprise AI platforms.
• Build AI-assisted tooling to improve information access and productivity for Associates.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint goals.
