Job summary

Olo is seeking a Software Engineer for the Core team, part of Order Engineering, to help shape scalable APIs and services powering digital ordering. The role emphasizes hands‑on coding, architectural input, and collaboration across engineering, product, and on-call responsibilities.

You will work remotely from Northern Ireland, with guidance from an NI-based Engineering Manager, and contribute to a high‑performing platform used by food brands and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 1.5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficient in C#/.Net and familiar with basic programming constructs and design patterns.
• Version control with GitHub and collaboration tools such as Jira/Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Develop domain understanding of the Core team and grow technical expertise with guidance.
• Handle small-to-medium features with support from senior engineers and meet timelines.
• Write code adhering to coding standards and participate in code reviews to learn best practices.
• Collaborate with team to understand feature requirements and implement solutions with guidance.
• Focus on building reliable, maintainable software components and contribute to team deliverables.
• Utilize version control to manage changes and maintain workflow.
• Participate in daily stand‑ups and sprint ceremonies, providing updates and feedback.
• Engage in learning activities and AI-assisted tooling to improve coding efficiency.
