Job summary

Turing is seeking experienced software developers for a fully remote contractor role to help evaluate and enhance AI systems through strong coding and analytical problem-solving. You will work on projects that test AI reasoning, coding accuracy, and development efficiency.

Day-to-day involves designing and solving real-world software problems, writing clear coding solutions, and evaluating AI outputs for quality and design adherence.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Software Developer, Engineer, or Programmer.
• Background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in one or more languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, or Go.
• Familiarity with Git, REST APIs, and agile development methodologies preferred.
• Excellent English communication and ability to document and explain code logic clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design and solve real-world software engineering and algorithmic problems to test AI reasoning.
• Write clear, step-by-step coding solutions across data structures, APIs, debugging, and optimization techniques.
• Evaluate AI responses for accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to software design principles.
• Collaborate with researchers to refine AI understanding of code generation, problem-solving, and real-world development workflows.
