Job summary

SHI is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Customer Experience Development Team. You will help develop a digital platform with eCommerce capabilities, IT asset management, and SHI services. The role centers on a modern stack with C#, ASP.NET Core, and React, delivering end-to-end ownership of features.

You will collaborate with product managers and engineers to ship high-quality software, participate in design reviews, and advocate for scalable, reliable solutions in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of professional experience building modern web applications with C# and ASP.NET Core.
• Demonstrated use of AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar) as part of a regular development workflow.
• Experience with React or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software architecture.
• Experience with relational database design (SQL Server, Postgres).
• Comfortable working in an agile, CI/CD, Git-centric environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to travel 10%

Responsibilities

• Actively use AI-powered development tools to increase velocity and code quality.
• Contribute to design, implementation, and maintenance of reliable, scalable software (C#, ASP.NET Core, React, SQL).
• Participate in the SDLC from design to deployment with focus on clean code and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features.
• Participate in code reviews and apply SOLID principles and domain-driven design guidance.
• Follow best practices including automated testing, code quality, and documentation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement of processes.
• Stay current with AI-assisted software development and bring new ideas to the team.
