U-Haul is seeking a Software Developer to join the Core Services - Contract Software Development Team. You will design, develop, and maintain APIs and UIs using the Microsoft stack, Kafka event streams, and Azure cloud resources.

The role emphasizes scalable, resilient systems and collaboration across business units. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of software development experience, strong OO design, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in software development or equivalent.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft stack and database design.
• Experience with Kafka event streams and cloud-based resources.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software using the Microsoft stack.
• Implement event-driven architectures with Kafka.
• Design scalable, resilient systems following modern principles.
• Provision and monitor cloud resources via Azure Portal.
• Collaborate across teams to solve business opportunities.
