Job summary

Protingent Staffing has an exciting direct hire Software Developer 3 (Control Room Simulator) role with our client that is fully remote. You will work in the Plant Services department, developing software that supports the control room simulator in a production environment.

The ideal candidate has a BS in software engineering or related field and 5+ years of professional software development experience. Proficiency with Visual Studio, Git/GitLab, C#, SQL and WPF is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a related technical field.
At least 5 years of professional software development experience in production environments.
Experience with Git/GitLab, Visual Studio, C#, SQL and WPF.

Responsibilities

Supports development, testing and operation of the control room simulator and other software projects.
Develops software in accordance with the established procedures and processes to maintain configuration control.
Identifies and provides solutions for software defects using issue tracking software.
Implements solutions when errors are encountered and seeks to identify common cause issues that affect performance of the software solution.
Implements solutions for problems using professional operational principles and company objectives.
Works under consultative direction toward long-range goals and objectives.
Collaborates with team members to ensure solutions are vetted and deliverables are of high quality.
Performs hardware setup and maintenance such as installing computers/monitors and connecting cables.
This may at times require limited travel to other locations outside of Corvallis at company’s expense.
Performs other duties as assigned.
